Fourth of July II - Croquet Anyone?

One of this Summer's favorite past-times at the Moore house has been a competitive game of Croquet.  Whenever anyone stops by to visit, even just for a quick meal, out come the mallets and balls and "wallah" -  "CROQUET!"  You must play, we insist... just a quick game... it won't take long... it will be so much fun!  And once you play one game, well... you might find you need to play another - because Tom usually wins, and you just might have to try to regain your pride.
You really have to watch your back when you play this particular sport with us Moores... the competition is tough.  We show no mercy when it comes to getting to that wicket.  We also take it very personally when our ball gets knocked out of line.  So come prepared to battle on the green if you dare to challenge us!
Look at that perfect form... Keaton shows how it's done.  Look at Preston stand and watch in wonder as his brother hits a drive with that mallet.  Notice that it has caught Uncle Brien's attention - he's even arisen from his slumber in the tent to check it out!

Aunt Kari gives a smug look as Uncle Paul dances with glee in the background... could it be a direct hit?  Or did he hoop it?  Maybe he made the poison mark?  Who knows, but he certainly looks pleased with himself!

All kidding aside, (and I can't speak for myself because I haven't played much of the game) the guys love the game and although they are a bit competitive, it's not quite as bad as I've made it sound here.  They'd love to have any and all who would like to come and play a set.

But Like Uncle Paul Says:     Croquet and Golf...

...are both serious business!
