We made paper roses!
This was something I'd always wanted to try. They are actually made out of coffee filters. The filters are so easy to work with. We dipped them in watered-down paint to get the different tints and the filters soaked it up quick. They also dried quick - less than 5 minutes each. Then I cut the filters into spirals and wound them on some wooden sticks. Katlyne helped with the dipping and also painted the sticks green. My favorites are the yellow roses, that I dipped the edges in a pink color. They really kind of look real. Definitely a project I will try again sometime. Easy and inexpensive!
