On the evening of the Fourth we loaded the family up and drove into town to watch the fireworks show.

There was also an ice cream social, so we got a bowl of ice cream to eat while we waited for the show to start. The kids played on the school playground and the rest of us visited and tried to stay warm.
This was our view... the field across the road in front of the cars is where the fireworks were going to be let off.
When it got dark enough, the kids lit their sparklers and had a good time running around with them before the big show - it made a good pre-show for the rest of us!
They even shared their sparklers with some other little kids that were sitting nearby.
