We enjoyed getting to have Nels and Rachel & family here again. They came to celebrate New Years with us. We played a lot of games. Catan, 7-up and they brought their game called Quirkle (?). It was a really fun game. I even did pretty good at it for a change.
Nels and baby Clara
For New Years Eve, Nels and Rachel brought pizza fixin's for home-made pizzas. The kids got to make their own, which they enjoyed. The pizzas were really yummy, and there was a lot to go around. Thanks Rachel! It was all very delicious!

Got 'em all!
We spent some of the time out at the barn, playing with Grandma's new XBox Kinnects (sp). I wish I had taken the camera out there with me. It was fun watching people play it. Rachel got some great pictures and video of it. We looked pretty dorky - but it was fun!
Elsie, pretending to be a puppy.
Hazel, Winston and Lilie.
The kids had fun playing up in the Castle room and in the family room. It was a bit cold outside, so they didn't get to play out there as much as last time. They always seem to have a great time together.

Happy New Year!!! - Grandma's talking to Uncle Brien, who called to wish us the same.
We sang. We drank our customary sparkling cider. We let off a bottle rocket. Then we danced to our New Year song. It was pretty special.
Then we sat around and talked for a bit before we dragged off to bed.
Happy New Year, Preston!
The next day we played some more, then had a ham dinner. Here's the kid's table. Yes, Preston and Keaton, you're still kids to me.
And to top it all off, another cutie pie picture of Violet. She woke up and came downstairs in the morning, hugging her little baby sea turtle. She's such a doll!
Hope you all have a wonderful year!
